Academic Results & Assessments

Pupils achieve very highly in academic performance targets such as SATs (Standard Assessment Tests) each year.

In May, the Year 6 pupils take SATs tests in Reading, Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPaG) and maths. In 2016 pupils took new, and much more challenging, tests based on the more rigorous requirements of the new National Curriculum. Our pupils performed exceptionally well in all 3 subjects and greatly exceeded national averages.

  • The percentage of children who achieved the expected standard in each subject was significantly higher than the national average.
  • The percentage of children who achieved the expected standard was slightly lower in Reading than Maths and SPaG (spelling and grammar), but this was reflected nationally.
  • Significantly more children achieved the expected standard in all subjects compared to the national average (80% compared to 53% national average).
